The essay examines the intensification of urbanisation over the past decades, the results of which are particularly invasive up to the first occurence of the global recession. It follows that in this last decade the Italian landscape has undergone striking erosion of its ecological quality and aesthetics. This situation requires new sights and a revision of dominant paradigms.
