The paper aims to provide, through the correlation between archaeological data and literary sources, a general overview on the development of the street network in the area included between the via Flaminia and the western slopes of the Quirinal and Pincian Hills. The informations on the archaeological finds have been acquired thanks to the examination of the unpublished documentation stored in the several archives of the Soprintendenza Speciale per il Colosseo, il Museo Nazionale Romano e l'Area archeologica di Roma.
