Uno studio comparativo sui tipi di aggettivi in coreano e in italiano

This paper aims to present the grounds of category establishment and the standard for classification that adjectives have in the general linguistic category by comparing the forms of adjectives in Korean and Italian under the same structural criteria. This study applies Italian adjectives, which comes before or after a noun in correlation with the noun to Korean adjectives suggested by Mok(2001) in order to examine the theoretical pros and cons. Furthermore, concentrating on the fact that adjectives may hold substantive and verbal properties, this paper intends to set forth a syntactic standard applicable to both Korean and Italian adjective category classification based on the study of Cinque(2005, 2010) who made dual classification of adjectives according to its relevant position and modifying pattern with the noun.
