The aim of this essay is to analyze the peculiar aspects of the relationship between the digital users and the different virtual platforms linked with the food experiences to highlight how these emergent connections would able to change the perception of food itself and of the places linked to it. Nowadays the digital narrations in the matter of food are able to create a common language and a code of information transmission that, through a “bottom-up” logic, give life to an equal and shared horizon of participation, based on the convergence between traditional media and digital ones. For this aim I tried to understand in which way the choices of the consumers are influenced by all the opinions and reviews that we can find in user-generated content sites as “TripAdvisor” or “Foursquare.” In last analysis the attention focuses on this new semantic universe and on its impact on the perception of food in the everyday life.
