After 36 years of campaigns Barikot the identification of which with the ancient town of Bazira-Beira/Vajīrasthāna is now certain, can be considered, together with Sirkap, the most crucial excavated settlement site in the North-West of the Indo-Pakistani Subcontinent. The two volumes present a comprehensive analysis of the ceramics from the first phase of excavation at Barikot between 1984 and 1992. The contribution by Olga Tribulato focuses on the Greek pottery graffiti from Hellenistic Barikot.
