Research has underlined the importance of Individual Innovative Behaviour or Innovative Work Behaviour (IWB) for firms’ success and long term survival. Since the seminal paper of Scott and Bruce published in 1994, scholars have contributed to the individual innovative behaviour field, and especially in the last few years the literature has shown a rapid growth, emphasizing the relevance of this concept for individual and organizational performance. However, the literature on this topic is still fragmented, with a lack of studies aiming at revising the concept. Moreover, few contributions has devote attention to the role of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices in facilitating the adoption of IWB. Through a systematic literature review, the purpose of this paper is to provide a perspective on the state of the art on IWB concept, analyzing the most influent contributions, the metrics adopted, the emerging themes and the main gaps in the literature. It also advances our understanding on the role of HRM practices in encouraging and reinforcing IWB with the aim to spur employees to conceive innovative behaviour as part of everyone’s job.

Abstract
It also advances our understanding on the role of HRM practices in encouraging and reinforcing IWB with the aim to spur employees to conceive innovative behaviour as part of everyone’s job.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
