Mitografia e memoria: il caso del Museo Gasparri fra identità, dispersione, recupero e progettazione

Unexpectedly recovered in the context of this project, the museum named after Cardinal Pietro Gasparri constitutes a representative case of a didactic museum and the need to rethink the typology in order to adapt it to the mission of the contemporary museum. Set up inside the civic residence of Ussita (MC), the collection, repeatedly the object of dispersion and illicit alienation, presents the traits of the setting museum, combined with the mythographic character of local glory and the exhibition canons proper to the museum of the Risorgimento. The monumentalisation of the document was the positivist aesthetic canon at the basis of the setting up of documents framed in rows and kept in caskets together with minor arts goods of high symbolic and hoarding value.
