Writing in Early Mesopotamia - Lexicon Database

The WritEMe Lexicon database is meant to provide scholars with a tool for data mining of cuneiform sources, with special reference to cuneiform texts from the third millennium BCE. It originated from the need to automatically identify the most relevant texts within the domain of writing, accounting and administration, based on an authoritative list of terms occurring in the extant sources. The need for such tool is motivated by the very large number of available cuneiform tablets, whose manual parsing would require an enormous amount of time and energy.
