El presente trabajo se propone investigar el género discursivo de los “blawgs”, o sea, blogs jurídicos, mediante un análisis empírico exploratorio de las prácticas discursivas y estrategias de representación, construcción y comunicación del conocimiento jurídico (véanse, Preite 2013; Engberg y Luttermann 2014). El análisis saca partido de un corpus monolingüe de blawgs compilado a partir del material multimodal extraído de los quince mejores blogs jurídicos españoles de 2014 según la clasificación de la compañía Alexa Internet, en combinación con la información proporcionada por el Directorio Temático de Blogs Jurídicos españoles (J. R. Chaves 2014). El enfoque metodológico adoptado se enmarca en los “estudios del discurso asistido por corpus” (Baker y otros 2011: 378; Partington y otros 2013: 11-14): el corpus de blawgs compilado representa el banco de prueba para estudiar las dinámicas de la comunicación asimétrica (expertos-legos), y para identificar patrones y estrategias comunicativas prevalentes, desde los rasgos más intrínsecamente lingüísticos (léxicos, terminológicos, fraseológicos, sintácticos y textuales) hasta aspectos más complejos desde el punto de vista semiótico y multimodal. Combinando un enfoque cuantitativo y cualitativo, el estudio intenta verificar cuáles son las categorías retóricas más empleadas y con qué medios se lleva a cabo la operación de divulgación a nivel lingüístico, discursivo y multimodal.

The methodological approach falls within the so-called corpus-assisted discourse studies (Baker et al. 2011: 378; Partington et al. 2013: 11-14): the corpus represents the testbed to study the dynamics of asymmetrical communication (expert vs. laypersons) and to identify the most frequent patterns and strategies, from strictly linguistic features (lexical, terminological, phraseological, syntactical and textual) to semiotic and multimodal ones. By combining quantitative and qualitative approaches, the study attempts to discover which the most common rhetorical categories used in blawgs are, as well as the means used to popularise legal knowledge at linguistic, discursive and multimodal levels.
