Em ano de "Orpheu", provocações na Ásia: a poesia de Alberto Estima de Oliveira [Nell'anno di Orfeo, provocazioni in Asia: la poesia di Alberto Estima de Oliveira]

This essay intends to reflect about the Portuguese presence in the East, more specifically, about that involving the displacements of poets from Portugal to Macau. Almost ten years after Macau’s return to Macau's handover to Chinese administration, researchers from different fields of knowledge are interested in analyzing the importance of the Portuguese influence in the development of this special region. Literature is a body of knowledge through which it is possible to seek human emotions and desires; besides, it can most properly highlight cultural Monica Simas, 6, 10/2015: 185-198–ISSN 2182-8954exchanges. Between 1987 and 1999, i.e. during the transitional period, Alberto Estima de Oliveira, a well known Portuguese poet in the Macanese society, published seven poetry titles. The endeavor of this proposal is to analyze and characterize the first of them “Infraestruturas”(“Substructures”), republished in 1999 in a bilingual version, relating it to the Portuguese literary contex.
